The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking part-time enthusiastic, passionate education professionals to serve as Enrichment Specialists in our Student Success Centers in the Chesterfield area. Ideal applicants would be available to travel to different sites within Chesterfield to teach from 2:30-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, every other week.

DUTIES of an Enrichment Specialist 

Teachers will work closely with their Assistant Teachers to implement academic enrichment programs for elementary school students. Specific duties include development of relevant lessons; ensuring academic and social development of scholars; identifying scholar needs and creating original instructional plans; monitoring scholars' progress and making adjustments; working to create a safe and productive learning environment; providing mentorship to Assistant Teachers and volunteers; and supervising scholars in day to day activities as well as special functions, such as field trips. All staff will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces according to site cleaning plan, will model safe social distancing, and wear masks daily.

Looking for applicants who are available to travel to different sites within Chesterfield to teach from 2:30-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, every other week. 

QUALIFICATIONS of an Enrichment Specialist

Candidates must have at least three years of related experience. A 4 year degree is not required, but must hold skills in a specialized area. Must be a high school graduate, 18 years of age, and have at least six months experience working with youth. Excellent verbal, written, organizational and technological skills. Strong relationship building, mentoring, communication and leadership skills. Commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and service to diverse populations.
