The Greater Richmond YMCA is currently seeking a highly motivated, mission-driven, team-oriented professional to be our Aging Strong Coordinator. The Aging Strong Program is the Y's community-based senior fitness program. This part time position starts at $15.00 per hour.
DUTIES of The Aging Strong Coordinator
The Aging Strong Coordinator will assist the Program Manager in managing, hiring, training, and evaluating the program and staff. The candidate will also coordinate, schedule and track program evaluations; coordinate and schedule fitness instructors class coverage, fill in as needed for fitness instructors and ensure that timesheets are turned in at the appropriate times. Duties will also include maintaining all program paperwork and attending, as needed, leadership team meetings or advisory council meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS of The Aging Strong Coordinator
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED; degree in wellness or a related field is preferred. Candidates should also have at least one year of related experience and must hold current CPR/AED certification and one nationally recognized group exercise certification (documentation required) if teaching exercise classes involved in Growing Younger. This candidate should be able to teach exercise classes on a fill-in basis as required.
