The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a motivated, cause-driven Center Director to provide leadership to the YMCA's youth development programs at Woodville Elementary School.

The Center Director will oversee program planning and administration for the YMCA's Woodville after school and summer camp programs, ensuring program quality, and modeling and maintaining a positive center culture. In addition, the Director will:

1.    Build rapport with students, parents, school stakeholders, and community partners to enhance program. Facilitate and maintain positive communication with all stakeholders.

2.    Employ collaborative spirit to engage community partners in program.

3.    Work closely with school officials and others to support recruitment of students.

4.    Supervise on-site staff and volunteers, including hiring, training, scheduling, monitoring, evaluating, and providing feedback.

5.    Maintain site quality, including instruction, equipment and supplies.

6.    Oversee operating budget for center.

7.    Complete any required data collection or reporting in a timely and accurate manner.



Applicants should have a commitment to the YMCA mission, and experience building relationships with diverse community stakeholders. Experience managing staff and volunteers is preferred. A bachelor's degree is required, in a related field preferred. Experience working in underserved communities is strongly preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as excellent organizational technology abilities are required.
